Electrical Workers Immigrating to New Zealand

To be eligible to work in New Zealand electrical staff such as Electricians/ Intrumentation Technicians / Linesmen etc must also hold a valid Provisional Licence until they become Registered.

Once you know whether you would be granted a Provisional License, is it much easier to obtain an Offer of Employment from a Certified Employer and then get a Work Permit.

The work
• Principally, the work will involve portable appliance and RCD testing, and probably some minor maintenance work.

The person

  • • New Zealand Trade Certificate Electrical qualification
  • • Hold a Current Electrical Practicing License
  • • Will have a self-managing approach but at the same time operate as an active team member.
  • • Will show commitment to Health and Safety
  • • Although a temp role, this could go permanent
  • • Must be prepared to undergo a pre-start drug and alcohol test
  • • Hold a current drivers license
