Shift Engineer - Electrical & Mechanical

We are currently looking for a Shift Engineer to join our clients highly motivated team. The position involves shift work, generally working a 4 on 4 off cycle.

The successful candidate will likely have experience in operating industrial equipment, including pumps, centrifuges, blowers, etc, in a production facility.  Candidates should be able to demonstrate knowledge in the mechanical, electrical and control aspects of the equipment. Computer skills are required.

The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of OH&S issues associated with industrial facilities.

 Maintenance Electrician – Nightshift
The position is responsible for the maintenance of a broad range of plant and equipment within a processing environment.

 

Reporting to the Engineering Foreman, you will be working in a small team with the common goal of ensuring the plant is fully maintained and quickly responding to breakdown maintenance, resulting in maximum efficient processing time.

The role available includes new installations and service of commercial refrigeration systems, installation and service of HVAC systems and general jobbing as required.

 

The  experience you have will include:-

·         Trade Qualification’s;

·         Experience with Haematic, Semi Haematic, Reciprocating and Screw compressors systems.

·         Understanding of CO2 system would be an advantage.

·         Worked within the industries for at least 7 years on service and Installation of plant.

·         Able to diagnose faults and correct as required on general Refrigeration and A/C systems.

·         Ability to communicate professionally with customers

·         Have a high degree of self motivation.

·         Ability to work unsupervised and has good time management skills.

·         Current practicing licence essential, unless you have just immigrated into New Zealand.

• Principally, the work will involve portable appliance and RCD testing, and probably some minor maintenance work.

The person

  • • New Zealand Trade Certificate Electrical qualification
